While working at Christie’s,
I devised
many new techniques for obtaining
high quality images for Fine Art
Photography. One such example is
paintings with distressed varnishes,
or heavily textured surfaces, can be
reproduced faithfully by a method of
cross polarizing without having to
apply any actual chemistry to the
painting, as was the past practice to
achieve the same results. |

I have also broadened my photography
spectrum with many publications on
antiques and collecting, an example
being the ‘Encyclopedia of Antiques’
and the ‘Illustrated Dictionary of
Antiques and Collectibles’. I now work
as a freelance fine art photographer
for the antiques world; my clients
include many of the leading dealers
and collectors within the fine art and
antiques field. |
